| | Yup, I'm still alive. Just barely. Aquarium got patched but now my filter's not working (impeller isn't impelling, hmmm), and a new load of courses, too! This quarter I am taking:
Chemistry 1B - continuation of last quarter
Vector Calculus, part 1 - oh boy! It's like physics and geometry, all in one!
(note: for my major I'm only supposed to take part 1)
Applied Discrete Mathematics - Yeah, same to you too, buddy.
Intermediate Programming in Java - Here's hoping I don't get partners that randomly ditch me...again.
Plus I'm now working a different shift for my volunteer work; I'm now an Animal Care Assistant, which means that I give TLC and scoop litterboxes, and I get to go to a different room of cats in addition to the one I've been in, which is cool. Next fall I'm thinking I'll switch to dogs. It's not nearly as restful, though.
So far I'm trying to not get in the rut(s) I got into last quarter: slacking off on studying or homework, skipping the occasional class, getting mopey and unproductive, and wasting time in front of the computer (oops, here I am!). This time I will actually touch my books! This time I will do what I should have done for studying for finals, which is actually studying (worked on my math final, went from a D-ish to a B in the class from one test). This time I will try to be friendly to people I don't know (and maybe even a person or two outside of the animal shelter, heh). This quarter, I will do better! Or you know, not.
But you know, so far I'm off to a good start. I've applied for one summer job so far, and next I have to figure out how to ask for internships from various researchers in the Biotech industry (which is still really, really scary and I don't really know what to do...). So much to do....so much damn time to waste. Wish me luck!
